Austin was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in April of 2006.
His doctors are optimistic that he will have a full recovery.
His parents believe so too. Austin is very determined to fight
his cancer by thinking positive, staying strong, and helping others.
He volunteers his time to speak at events and try to raise cancer
awareness. He plays his saxophone in the hospital halls.
He is inspired by his best friend Marlon Howe, who lost his battle
to cancer but taught Austin to think good thoughts and encouraged
Austin to stay strong.
Austin is in fifth grade and is very talented and creative. He loves playing the
trumpet and sax with the Jr. High School Uptown Jazz Band. During his free
time, he writes songs.
Before diagnosis, Austin was very dedicated to playing
basketball. He was on a traveling team and played with a local
basketball league.
Austin believes that with good thoughts, prayer, and positive
energy, we will win his battle to become healthy again.
