Charley  wants to be a cheerleader and she loves to play basketball. She is a very playful girl and loves her friends. Below is what Charley's mom wrote about her:

Charley is a bit of a tomboy but she still likes "girlie" things like the Disney Princesses, Dora the explorer, the Little Mermaid and Bratz dolls.

Because of her medical problems, Charley is limited as to which sports she can play. She is having a very difficult time adjusting to the limitations.

She recently had surgery -- doctors  cut a piece of her skull off to (hopefully)  relieve the pressure that is causing fluid build up. She will have an MRI  six weeks after the surgery to find out if it worked.  If not, she'll need another surgery to remove part of the front of the base of the skull.

Then doctors will try to fix the advanced curvature of her spine.
