Why was I giving these gifts away FREE?   Because I wanted the chance to tell you about my new book:

HUGS, HOPE, and Peanut Butter:
Finding Light Behind the Clouds

Inspirational and humorous essays illustrated with drawings by kids with cancer and other life-threatening conditions.

Pain is never easy, but it's more bearable with the healing power of laughter; and you’ll laugh out loud when you read about my search for the perfect purse, camping adventures, my badly behaved toy poodle, and my experience with a new magnifying mirror. Each essay includes a "life lesson" to help you cope.

Some chapter titles include, "Limburger Attitude, "The Joy of Shopping," "Is Broccoli Hazardous?" and "Life in the Manure Pile." The book also outlines ten tips for beating depression, written from my own experience of battling this illness for most of her life. And it attempts to answer tough questions like why bad things happen to good people.

In 2000, I founded a nonprofit charity for sick kids.  In my book, you can read about how The Hugs and Hope Foundation came to be.  You'll read about my experience of going blind, my grandson being badly burned, and other events that led me to determine I was going to make a difference in the lives of hurting kids.

I was dubbed the Peanut Butter Queen because of my favorite saying:  "Love, hope, and joy are sticky -- like peanut butter.  When you spread them around, you can't help but get some on yourself."

I wrote Hugs, Hope, and Peanut Butter to encourage anyone who faces disappointment, discouragement, or tough times.  And who DOESN'T? So dust off the night stand, make a spot for this book, and buy a copy for yourself as well as one for a friend who needs encouragement and a good laugh.
