Jasmine is a joy and a blessing to her new
adoptive family; and she loves attention! She enjoys having
someone sing or read to her. Though she's older, she is very small
for her -- about the size of a three year old. And her
cognitive skills are equivalent to a toddler of about one or two
years old. She likes bright lights, music, and toys. Her
favorite colors are purple and pink.
Due to Jasmine's diagnoses, her prognosis is
uncertain. In addition, to CP, she has many other disabilities
including failure to thrive syndrome, Microcephaly, agenesis of the
corpus colossus, polymicrogyria, GERD, Epilepsy, Osteoporosis, sleep apnea, visual impairments,
mental retardation, auditory processing disorder and more. Jasmine
uses a wheel chair, since she can't walk. She needs a bi-pap
machine to help her breathe while sleeping and she requires a
suction machine for respiratory problems. She often gets tired of
all the therapies and medical appointments, but she faces them all
like a trooper.
Jasmine loves people more than any game or toy.
She warms the heart of everyone she meets.
