| As a baby, Jennifer was "floppy" and
could not drink because of hypotonia (low muscle tone). In July of
2005, she had surgery to place a G-tube through which she is now fed
three times during the day and twice at night.
The myopathy (genetic muscle disorder) and glycogen issues cause her to become weak and
tired easily. Many times, she can't even stand. She
falls a lot. As the day goes on, she gets weaker and weaker,
often not wanting to play or move. She just lies on the floor
with her blanket.
Jennifer has tremors in her arms and legs daily. She
catches upper respiratory infections often and easily. When
this happens, she gets even more weak and tired and loses weight.
December 28, 2006, Jennifer is having surgery on both eyes to
correct her exotropia (eye problem). For several weeks, she's had
fevers and problems with her feeding tube, so she can use some
cheer. LET'S SEND HER SOME HAPPY MAIL!
