Lisa was born with a very rare congenital heart defect. She
had her first open heart surgery when she was just 16 days old.
Her second surgery was when she was six weeks old, and she required
a third at six months old. Click photo below to
enlarge it.

She's had two strokes.
One, on the left side of her brain, caused weakness on her right
side. The other stroke, on the right side of her brain,
affected her memory as well as learning and social interactions.
Lisa doesn't realize she's different from other kids. She
thinks scars on your chest, abdomen, neck and wrists are normal.
She thinks a tube coming out of your tummy where you're fed is
normal. Below is a photo of her with balloons sent by our group
while she was in the hospital:

Her parents say Lisa is a miracle who loves life and has an
incredible imagination.
