| NEW UPDATING PROCEDURE: Space is limited, so you
will only be allowed a certain number of
words in your update. You will need to keep your update SHORT.
Please write your update carefully, so readers will be able to
understand it. And proof read the update carefully before you click
that send button!
Don't use abbreviations; and please explain medical terms, if they
are words that the average person won't know the meaning of.
Include in your update only pertinent information that relates to
your child's physical condition, such as recent hospitalizations,
illnesses, surgeries, etc..
Be careful to spell words correctly, to use complete sentences and
to include correct punctuation. These things will make it easier to
read.
Do not use all capital letters, as messages in all CAPS are
difficult to read.
Again, to review:
1) Be brief and concise. Post important, essential
information.
2) Check for grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
3) Use capital letters only at the beginning of each sentence, do not
use all CAPS for the entire message, as that makes it difficult to
read
4) Explain medical terms so others will understand
5) After submitting your update, click the link to go to our
update
page and check what you wrote.
6) After reading what you posted, if you don't like it, you may
submit a new update the same way you did the first one.
7) Submit an update each month and when your child is hospitalized
or
seriously ill with an infection, virus, broken bone, etc.
8) If you'd like balloons to be sent from HUGS and HOPE to the
hospital, you will need to send an EMAIL to Jan, the coordinator of
our Balloon Bouquet program:
hugsandhopeballoons @yahoo.com
Okay, if you understand the instructions,
you may submit an update at
www.hugsandhope. org/Child_ Update_Form. htm
Thanks for keeping HUGS and HOPE updated on your child's news.
