Tyler has had dozens of surgeries in his short
life time. He was diagnosed in January, 2003 with this rare type
of cancer. It was in his jaw and both lungs. Part of one
lung was removed. He has a very hard time when he catches colds and
can hardly breathe. He also has a lot of pain in his leg (80% of his
fibula was removed), and his jaw (which needed to be rebuilt), so
Tyler cries a lot from the pain. He must be fed through a stomach tube.
Tyler had more surgery in July of 2007 to remove a bone in his leg and
reconstruct his jaw. He then needed an additional surgery because the
new jaw was poking through his skin!
August of 2009, he had another jaw put in, because he'd had so
many problems. They had to cut Tyler's face from ear to ear.
They also cut his leg again to get muscle and vein tissue for his
face; there is a long cut from his knee to his hip, and he's in a
wheel chair. The doctor had to remove all but three of Tyler's
teeth, too.
June, 2010 another surgery! Here's a photo:

Tyler could sure use some cheery mail to remind him that
he's special and loved by God! Share a little joy with Tyler
